50% checked planes show repetitive defects; IndiGo tops list: Govt

Aviation authorities flagged 377 aircraft for repeated technical issues after reviewing 754 planes operated by six Indian airlines since January 2025, government data showed. Air India and IndiGo accounted for the highest number of such cases. MoS for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol said the aviation regulator conducted 3,890 surveillance inspections and 56 regulatory audits.
