50% women in Kerala earning fixed salary, highest across India

Kerala leads India in female salaried employment, with 49.7% of working women earning fixed salaries in 2023-24, compared to 18.5% nationwide. The state also has fewer women in daily wage jobs and increasing opportunities in the organized sector. Unlike other states, only 10.1% of women workforce in Kerala is engaged in household enterprises, showcasing better employment conditions.
