50% of US users don’t know Facebook owns WhatsApp: Survey

Around 50.42% of American users who used WhatsApp in the last six months don't know it is owned by Facebook, according to a survey conducted by DuckDuckGo. They also found nearly 60% of those who used Waze didn't know that it was owned by Google. An earlier survey found that around 57% of US users were unaware that Facebook-owned Instagram.
