50-year-old illegal shrine demolished in UP's Deoria

A nearly 50-year-old illegal mazar (shrine) in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, was demolished on Sunday using three bulldozers, with the operation continuing for around six hours. The main gate, boundary wall, three shops and the dome of the shrine were pulled down. The shrine, known as Abdul Shah Ghani Mazar, was demolished in the presence of around 300 police personnel.
