500% increase in cyber crimes in India after COVID-19: Doval

National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday said financial frauds have seen exponential increase following the COVID-19 pandemic. Doval said there has been an increase of 500% in cyber crimes due to limited awareness and cyber hygiene. "There's a greater dependence on digital payment platforms due to reduced cash handling and greater data sharing is happening online," he added.
