52-yr-old Odisha man gets life imprisonment for killing wife with axe

A court in Odisha's Kendrapara district on Thursday sentenced a 52-year-old man, Pradeep Mallick, to life imprisonment for killing his wife with an axe in 2016. Additional district and sessions judge Ajay Kumar Pradhan also imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on him. Mallick allegedly killed his 40-year-old wife, Manasi Mallick, after she refused to return from her brother's house.
