55,000 households take self-enumeration on Day 1 of Census 2027

About 55,000 households availed the self-enumeration facility for the first phase of Census 2027 on Day 1, i.e., Wednesday. These include President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, PM Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah. The facility has been started in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Odisha, Sikkim, and some areas of Delhi for 15 days.
