55-year-old ex-British MP joins Ukrainian army amid Russia war

A 55-year-old former UK lawmaker has joined the Ukrainian International Legion, the military unit dedicated to foreign fighters, to help in the fight against Russia, according to media reports. The lawmaker, Giacomo 'Jack' Lopresti, who hailed from the Conservative Party, made the move after losing his parliamentary seat in last year's UK general elections. Lopresti has now relocated to Kyiv.
