5G judged safe by radiation watchdog, faces new guidelines

The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which assesses health risks of radio broadcasts, has called 5G safe. However, ICNIRP released new guidelines which cover upcoming 5G technologies. These guidelines have taken seven years to develop and are more appropriate for higher frequencies than ICNIRP's 1998 guidelines, ICNIRP Chairman, Dr. Eric van Rongen said.
