5-yr-old becomes India's youngest to undergo en-bloc kidney transplant
A 5-year-old boy from Haryana has become the youngest Indian to undergo en-bloc kidney transplant surgery in the country at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. The donor of the kidneys was a 16-month-old baby who was declared brain dead. The recipient was suffering from an autoimmune disease that affected both his kidneys, Dr Manjunath Maruti Pol said.
