6.5-magnitude earthquake hits Philippines weeks after quake killed 80

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern Philippines on Friday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said. This comes less than three weeks after a massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the same region, killing over 80 people. On Thursday, at least 589 people died after two massive earthquakes struck Venezuela and caused widespread destruction.
