6 migrant workers die after falling in 150-ft deep pit in Meghalaya forest

Six migrant workers from Assam have died in a forest in Meghalaya's East Jaintia Hills after falling into a 150-feet deep pit on Friday. The incident took place when illegal mining was taking place at the site, a state Minister said. Police is investigating the incident and will present its findings, he added.
