6 of a family infected with 'brain worms' after eating undercooked bear meat in US

Six family members in US got infected with 'brain worms' after eating undercooked black bear meat, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said. The issue came to light after a 29-year-old was hospitalised with fever, muscle pain, swelling around the eyes, etc. He and his family members were suffering from trichinellosis, caused by a freeze-resistant parasite.
