6 people go missing as boat capsizes in Brahmaputra river in Assam

At least six people, including three to four children, were missing after a motorised boat capsized in Brahmaputra River in the Rahampur area of Assam’s Barpeta district on Tuesday, SSP Sushanta Biswa Sarma said. Police said that 36 people were on board when the incident occurred. The boat, which allegedly lacked sufficient life jackets, was sailing from Rahampur to Borghul.
