60 US senators back bill proposing 100% tariff on India over buying Russian oil

Over 60 US senators from both Republican and Democratic parties have backed a bill proposing tariffs of up to 100% on the top five buyers of Russian oil, including India. However, the bill exempts US European allies that import Russian natural gas. An earlier version proposed a blanket 500% tariff on the top five buyers of Russian oil.
