60 vehicles involved in deadly chain-reaction crash on snow-covered highway in Japan

A chain-reaction crash involving around 60 vehicles erupted on the snow-covered Kan-etsu Expressway near Minakami Town in Japan on the night of December 26. The accident resulted in a massive fire that consumed several vehicles, leaving at least two people dead and 26 others injured. A collision between two trucks triggered a chain of crashes with the vehicles behind them.
