64-yr-old UP woman grows saffron indoors, earns ₹10 lakh annually

Shubha Bhatnagar, 64, inspired by her passion for agriculture, launched Shubhavni SmartFarms in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on indoor saffron farming. With family support, she invested ₹26 lakh, yielding ₹10 lakh in the first year. Shubhavni uses aeroponic techniques and employs 22 village women. The company plans to expand and has gained recognition as Agritech Startup of the Year.
