All India Radio on Tuesday launched a free SMS news service to keep users updated about the current affairs. The SMS will include a headline and messages of up to 100 characters in length regarding public utility schemes of government. To subscribe one can either give a missed call to 0-80820-80820 or SMS 'AIRNEWS' his/her name to the said number.
