650 MBBS seats to exit Tamil Nadu counselling process

MBBS admissions in Tamil Nadu may become tougher as three private medical colleges get deemed university status, moving around 650 seats out of state counselling. Students will now face nationwide competition through MCC, while fees could rise significantly from around ₹4 to 5 lakh to ₹20 to 35 lakh annually. The state seeks solutions.
