67 selected under EWS quota in UPSC 2025 attended coaching having ₹2.65 lakh fee: Report

An investigation by The Indian Express has found that 67 out of 104 candidates selected under the EWS category in UPSC 2025 attended well-known coaching institutes such as Vajiram & Ravi, Vajirao & Reddy, and Drishti, where annual fees can reach ₹2.65 lakh. EWS quota is for families having less than ₹8 lakh annual income. Forty-six candidates attended private schools.
