6th AIADMK MLA quits since Tamil Nadu polls, likely to join TVK

Former Tamil Nadu transport minister MR Vijayabhaskar has resigned from the AIADMK, becoming the sixth MLA to quit the party since the Assembly elections. Vijayabhaskar is likely to join the ruling TVK along with C Vijayabaskar, who also quit the AIADMK two weeks ago. The AIADMK's strength in the Assembly has now fallen from 47 to 41 MLAs.
