7 Indian seafarers stranded for 11 months repatriated from UAE

Seven Indian seafarers stranded aboard an oil tanker at Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed Port for 11 months have been repatriated, the Indian Embassy in the UAE said. The Embassy further added that efforts were underway with local authorities for the early repatriation of the remaining seafarers. The seamen' union alleged that the seafarers had not received wages for five months.
