7 judicial officers held hostage for 9 hours in Bengal over SIR deletion

Seven judicial officers, including three women, were held hostage in West Bengal's Malda on Wednesday for over nine hours by a group of voters whose names were deleted from voter list during Special Intensive Revision. The police and paramilitary personnel removed protesters and rescued officers at around 1 am today. The protesters targeted cars as security forces rescued judicial officers.
