7 wagons derail at Jolarpettai yard in TN; probe ordered

Seven wagons of a freight train derailed during a shunting operation at Jolarpettai wagon depot yard in Tamil Nadu on Sunday at 7:15 pm. No injuries were reported and tracks were restored by 12:20 am, though a Bengaluru–Jolarpettai MEMU service was short-terminated. Southern Railway has ordered a departmental inquiry into the cause.
