70% of astronauts face eyesight issues from space exposure: Study
Scientists have found that at least 70% of astronauts, who have been exposed to space for a long period of time, experienced vision changes, a study from the Université de Montréal revealed. This condition is called spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome (SANS). Scientists examined 13 astronauts and found their ocular rigidity decreased by 33% due to exposure, making their eyes more fragile.
