A 70-ft statue of Lionel Messi, which swayed in the wind, was brought down in Kolkata, and its picture surfaced online. On Monday, cranes and heavy-duty cables were used to bring it to the ground. It will be relocated, but the spot is undecided. Ex-TMC MLA Sujit Bose conceptualised the statue, which was unveiled during Messi's trip last year.
