70 Islamic extremists remain fugitives due to jailbreaks in B'desh

At least 700 inmates, including 70 convicted Islamist militants, remain fugitives in Bangladesh since they fled in jailbreak incidents during July-August students' uprising that led to ouster of ex-Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina. Nearly 2,200 inmates had fled from different jails across the country during the unrest in total. Students' protests had broken out over a controversial job quota system.
