70 lakh kg ghee used in Tirupati laddus without testing, finds probe panel

Over 70 lakh kg of ghee used in making laddu prasadam at Andhra Pradesh's Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams was procured without mandatory testing, a probe committee has found. The report accused former executive officer AV Dharma Reddy for not taking action even after the adulteration was confirmed. The committee was set up to probe lapses in the procurement of ghee.
