A 70-year-old man, Sivankutty Chettiar, was found murdered with his hands and feet tied at his rented house in Haripad. Police suspect the killing was part of a planned robbery, with six sovereigns of gold and cash missing. Attackers allegedly entered through the kitchen door and scattered clothes after searching the house before fleeing.
