700 CAPF companies to stay in West Bengal after polls: Official

Around 700 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will continue to remain deployed across West Bengal after polling concludes, an EC official said. The deployment aims to maintain peace and ensure no untoward incidents occur during the post-poll period. CAPF personnel will stay in the state until further orders. Counting of votes will be held on May 4.
