72-year-old ex-Tihar inmate held for robbing American in Delhi

Savita Gandhi, a 72-year-old habitual offender with 14 prior cases, was arrested in Uttam Nagar after allegedly stealing an American woman's bag containing $2,600, a passport, visa documents, credit cards, and a mobile phone from a Paharganj shop. Recently released from Tihar Jail, she allegedly used her elderly appearance to avoid suspicion. Police recovered ₹1.85 lakh.
