730 held, 725 FIRs filed over 5 months as Delhi cracks down on illegal liquor trade

The Delhi Government's Excise Department has intensified its crackdown against illegal liquor trade between April and August. The department filed 725 FIRs and detained 730 people in connection with the sale and smuggling of illegal liquor over five months. The government has also seized 197 vehicles allegedly used for transportation and recovered about 2.2 lakh bottles of illegal liquor.
