74 people lose lives in Assam floods, families to get ₹9-lakh aid

At least 74 people have lost their lives, and nearly 3.33 lakh people stand affected in floods across seven districts in Assam. Families of deceased people will be given ₹4-lakh ex gratia and ₹5 lakh from the CM Relief Fund, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced. Families of persons missing for 30+ days would be given ₹4-lakh ex gratia, he added.
