750 grams of 'whale vomit' worth ₹1 crore seized in Thane, 2 arrested

Police have arrested two persons for allegedly smuggling around 750 grams of ambergris or 'whale vomit', which is used to manufacture perfumes, worth ₹1 crore in Thane. Police said the accused were arrested based on a tip off received earlier in the week. "The accused have been remanded in our custody for five days," a senior police inspector said.
