75-year-old woman run over by garbage truck in Pune, dies

A 75-year-old woman, riding pillion on a bike with her husband, was run over by a garbage truck at Bhavani Peth in Pune on Monday, police said. The woman came under the rear wheels of the garbage container of Pune Municipal Corporation, police added. "As per the truck driver...motorcyclist tried to overtake the heavy vehicle...accident took place," police stated.
