77-year-old piece of cake from Queen Elizabeth's wedding auctioned for ₹2.4 lakh

A 77-year-old slice of wedding cake from the 1947 royal wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip has been sold for £2,200 (around ₹2.40 lakh) at an auction. The piece, described as "rare", comes in original box with presentation card and original packaging. Its original recipient was Marion Polson, a housekeeper, who received it as gift from Buckingham Palace.
