78 people die in Afghanistan as temperature drops to -34 degrees Celsius

At least 78 people have died due to cold in Afghanistan as temperature dropped to -34 degrees Celsius. The country is experiencing the coldest winter in 15 years. Deaths from cold have been recorded in eight of the country's 34 provinces. Around 77,000 livestock have also died in the past nine days. Many aid groups have partially suspended operations.
