8-day maximum temperature graphic shows how Delhi has been hit by severe heatwave

In the last week (since April 19), Delhi saw record-high temperatures with the maximum temperature reaching 42.8°C on Saturday. IMD said on Sunday that scorching conditions will continue in Northwest and Central India for the next three days. It asked people to avoid stepping out from 12 noon to 4 pm, hydrate frequently and wear light cotton clothes.
