8 die of lightning strikes in 24 hrs in Bihar, ₹4 lakh ex gratia announced

The Bihar government announced ₹4 lakh ex gratia each to the families of eight people who died due to lightning strikes in the last 24 hours in Bihar. Two deaths each were reported from Munger and Bhagalpur and one each from Jamui, East and West Champaran, and Araria. CM Nitish Kumar has urged people to stay indoors during bad weather.
