8 killed, 34 missing after landslide in China's Chongqing

At least eight people were killed and 34 remain missing after a landslide struck China's Chongqing, officials said. The landslide occurred at around 9:08 am in Pengshui County, where rocks and soil swept downhill, burying more than 10 residential buildings, state broadcaster CCTV reported. More than 1,100 residents were evacuated as rescue teams searched through unstable debris.
