8 of 10 NCAP cities fail to meet air quality targets despite spending ₹12,000 cr: Report
India's National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), launched in 2019, has seen only 23 of 130 cities achieve a 40% reduction in PM10 level by 2025-26, as targeted under the plan, CREA reported. This comes after states spent ₹12,000 crore under the programme. Notably, 44 of the 130 non-attainment cities recorded PM10 reductions of more than 30%.
