80% rail tracks in India now support over 110 Kmph speed of trains

Nearly 80 per cent of India's railway tracks now support over 110 Kmph speed of trains, the Ministry of Railways informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. High-speed-ready tracks have risen fivefold, and total track length has expanded. Vande Bharat trains continue semi-high-speed operations, while the new sleeper prototype has entered commissioning, promising improved long-distance travel.
