80 illegal water connections found along Vijayapura canal

Karnataka officials have detected 70–80 illegal water connections along the Malaghan West Canal in Vijayapura. The outlets were allegedly used to divert canal water, affecting farmers at the tail-end. Officials have begun sealing the connections after farmers raised concerns over inadequate water supply. Legal action is also being initiated against those responsible.
