84 mysterious objects 'unlike anything seen before' discovered in space

Astronomers have identified 84 objects across six galaxies that behave unlike any known class, NASA said. Dubbed hypersoft X-ray sources, they emit unusually low-energy X-rays while producing large amounts of ultraviolet radiation. They were found by re-examining archived data from the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
