84-yr-old Chinese woman falls in love with AI character, writes him letters

Zhang Yulan, an 84-year-old woman from central China's Hubei province, fell in love with 'Jianguo', an AI-generated character. Believing that she was in a relationship with the character, Yulan wrote him love letters expressing pain after a disagreement between them. Yulan spent around $1,200 on character-related items, after which her granddaughter reported her account to a complaint system.
