85-year-old marathon runner breaks record: Report

Eighty-five-year-old Ed Whitlock from Canada reportedly broke the world record at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in the 85-89 age group, by finishing the marathon in 3 hours and 56 minutes. He broke the previous record by approximately 40 minutes, as per reports. He is reportedly the only person over 70 to run a marathon in less than three hours.
