89-yr-old Ivory becomes oldest person ever to win an Oscar

James Ivory became the oldest person to win an Oscar with his award win for best adapted screenplay for the film 'Call Me By Your Name' at the 90th Academy Awards. The 89-year-old director and screenwriter had previously been nominated thrice in the best director category for 'A Room with a View', 'Howards End' and 'The Remains of the Day'.
