9 dead after armed men raid Peru mine with explosives

Nine people died and 15 were injured after armed men raided Peru's Poderosa mine with explosives and took hostages, the Interior Ministry stated. Police have "taken control of the situation", seven people have been arrested and weapons seized, it added. The attack comes a year after the arrest of leftist former President Pedro Castillo.
