9 Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

Nine fishermen from Tamil Nadu onboard two trawlers have been arrested for allegedly poaching in Sri Lanka's territorial waters. The Sri Lankan Navy said the fishermen were poaching off the Delft Island, Jaffna. The fishermen and the seized trawlers will be handed over to the Mailadi Fisheries Inspector for legal proceedings, added the Navy.
