9 states have withdrawn general consent to CBI: Minister Jitendra Singh
Nine states have withdrawn the general consent that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) requires to probe certain offences, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday. Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and West Bengal have withdrawn the general consent, he said. The consent is required under Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946.
